My top 5 favorite Amazon finds...

You cannot be on Facebook these days without seeing ads for Buzzfeed or other sites that have Amazon lists. Though I do enjoy those on occasion, as of late, most are either dated or simply repetitive. Today I decided to post some of my own favorites for you. Enjoy!

BESTEK Power Strip with USB

Cost at time of post - $26.99 USD
“This device features a space saving design and can be mounted to a location you choose with the hardware/glue strip provided.”

When you live in an apartment like I do finding clever ways to utilize the most of a small space is crucial. I found this particular item on Amazon when trying to find a way to make the most of only one plug on my island's countertop. I have the ability, thanks to this power strip, to not only accommodate multiple devices but also have the added USB access which I did not have before. Please note that the USB-C Port does work with my Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max. However, it DOES NOT Work For Macbook, MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, Pixel 3/3 XL, or Other Devices With Power Higher Than 15W.

The plug itself is flat so you do not have the awkward curve of a standard plug which saves you some additional space while keeping the plug flush with the wall. The cord itself is 5 feet in length and does come with a velcro tie should you need to tidy up the cord once you have placed it where you need it.

I was so happy with the device that I bought a second one for my bathroom so that I can plug my hair tools in and save the counter space there as well, plus it allows me to unplug everything all at once and helps prevent an overload of power since it is a power strip (though I never use all of my devices at the same time anyway). It does meet these standards: overvoltage, short circuit, overload, over current protection, and FCC authentication.

Avarelle Acne Pimple Patch

Cost at time of post - $8.49 USD (40 Count)

There is absolutely nothing as an adult that irritates me more at the age of 47 than getting acne. Enter the Avarelle Pimple Patch. These patches are Certified Vegan, Cruelty-Free. The hydrocolloid patches have tea tree, aloe, and calendula oil. These ingredients help draw out all the gunk from your blemish while you sleep. The patches are transparent enough that if you are working from home, and need to jump on a zoom call, that they would barely be noticeable to anyone. The patches help protect the blemish too and I noticed that I stopped fussing with them as much when I had the patch on which was helpful to the healing process. I even packed a stip or two when I traveled, just in case a pimple reared its ugly head while I was out of town.

Wooden Spurtles

Cost at time of post - $8.88 USD (Set of 3)

Ever see one of those "As Seen for TV" commercials and ask yourself, "I wonder if those are on Amazon?" Well, I did when I saw the ad for these Wooden Spurtles. These long and stylish wooden spurtles are your classic wood spoon taken to the next level. Since they are wooden they won't damage your best pots and pans, but are so stylish you will want these out and about on your countertop. Honestly, they are your basic wooden utensils but the way they look and how they are able to get into those deep containers make these spurtles one of my favorite kitchen tools.

Leejie Candle Rechargeable USB Lighter

Don't even second guess this one, just buy it and thank me later."

Cost at time of post - $10.99 USD

I am all for devices that may help lessen our impact on the environment. This is one such item. It has a long handle and has a premium lithium-ion cell that can light hundreds of times and be continuously used for hours. The bottom of the lighter has an LED indicator lets you know if the lighter is in use or not & plugs into a standard USB port with it’s provided cord. It is flameless and it lights using an "arc" which is handy for those of you that are into the outdoors since it is nearly windproof. It lists that it is also moisture-proof but I would not submerge it or leave it in the elements for an extended period of time. Again, one of my favorite gadgets just because I am not wasting time and money on those butane lighters anymore.

Cell Phone Desk Stand

Cost at time of post - $9.72 USD (Silver, featured)

Last, but definitely not least, is this sleek and functional cell phone stand that is perfect for your iPhone or Samsung devices. The stand can be adjusted up to 270 degrees and can hold phones vertically or horizontally for portrait or landscape view. When I am in the office I would have this one on my desk since we have to authenticate our logins with a push to our cell phones, and having my phone upright and accessible made that easier. Now that I work from home too I am likely going to purchase a second one so that I can have one available at each location. The hole on the bottom helps keep the cord from falling to the side when not in use. It is a simple design, but so functional and useful that it made this list.
