Congratulations to LL Cool J on being one of the artists receiving the Kennedy Center Honors. He was the first hip hop artist to receive the award. As much as I also loved seeing Gloria Estefan and Lionel Richie as honorees (I admittedly danced in my bedroom as a youngster to each of them) it was LL that just made me smile. How could you not?
